The clocks have gone back, Hallowe’en, Guy Fawkes and Remembrance Sunday are behind us, so the town’s focus turns to the Festival of Light on Sunday 23rd November and to the BCA’s Christmas Best Dressed Shop Window Competition.

This year, because the Festival of Light is early, the Shop Window competition will take place separately from the Festival. Judging of the beautifully decorated shop windows will take place during the last week of November and the prize-giving will take place under the Christmas tree on the High Street on Monday 1st December. All eligible shopkeepers will be notified separately about the competition.
